There are specific requirements that must be met to satisfy the Entry Clearance Officer (ECO) that applicants qualify for a UK medical visit visa. Documents to be provided include letters from the private medical doctor in the UK confirming the treatment’s purpose, duration and cost and, where possible, a letter from your doctor in the applicant’s home country.
As a medical visa applicant, you must demonstrate that you have a genuine reason for visiting the UK, can maintain and accommodate yourself during the visit and have sufficient ties to your home country to show the authorities that you intend to leave the UK. Although a third party may sponsor you, the Entry Clearance Officers (ECOs) will also consider your personal circumstances.
